Lavochkin La-250A 04 Red
The Lavochkin La-250 was the last aircraft design from the Lavochkin Design Bureau (OKB-301). Designed as a high speed, high altitude interceptor, only five were built. The 5 prototypes only made a combined total of 21 flights, and were plagued by crashes and issues with the aircraft systems. The type first flew in 1956. Ultimately, the Tupolev Tu-128 filled the role the La-250 was desgined for. The example here, 04 Red, is the only remaining example left.
